Service Description

This class is currently in development, but here is a brief overview of what is offered in the Defensive Handgun class: Welcome to the Defensive Handgun class! In this class, students will learn and perform various tactics, drills, safe handling measures, and much more in preparation for using a handgun in a life-threatening or imminently dangerous situation. Students will also implement those skills in live-fire exercises at an approved shooting range. Please note, this is not a Concealed Carry (CCW) course and will not certify the student to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. It also does not satisfy the training requirement to apply for a concealed carry permit in the state of Wisconsin. If interested in taking a CCW class, students should refer to the CCW class offered by Fox Shots Defense LLC in the class list. GENERAL CLASS INFORMATION: - This course is not designed for short-barreled AR-style pistols and instead teaches handling of firearms commonly kept in a draw-purposed holster. CLASS REQUIREMENTS: - Students must be 21 years of age to take this class. - Students should wear comfortable, breathable clothing that they are comfortable exposing to the elements. - This course requires light physical activity/exercise during certain firing drills. Students should arrive hydrated and bring hydration or snacks with them if needed. Lunch is not provided during this course, but a lunch break will be given. - Regarding Student-Provided Handguns: Students are encouraged to use their own firearm during this course, but must supply their own ammunition if their pistol does not take standard 9mm handgun ammunition. - Regarding Holsters: Students must bring and use a safe and effective holster solution that is subject to the instructor's approval if using their own firearm. Please note, only waistband-mounted and ankle holsters will be allowed for use in this class. Shoulder holsters and experimental holster solutions will not be allowed. Students whose holsters are not approved will be required to use instructor-provided equipment. Students using instructor-provided firearms must use the instructor-provided holster.

Cancellation Policy

Instructor-led courses require advanced planning and instructor costs. For this reason, all course sales are final and will not be refunded. However, students may reschedule their purchased course for a future course date free of charge if they are unable to attend the originally scheduled course for any reason. If a student does not reschedule their course, and the course date passes, the student will not be refunded.

*All students attending an in-person firearms-related class will be required to read and sign a liability release waiver prior to attending class (not required for online or pop-up classes). This waiver will be available via the order confirmation page for students to print, read, sign (digital signatures are acceptable), and bring to the class.*
